Cancellation policy

If circumstances in your organisation change and you can no longer attend the Gambling Harm Conference, please cancel your registration by providing written notice to the Gambling Harm Conference Organiser as soon as possible.

Conference refund policy

Participants may cancel their registration without penalty up to 7 days prior to an event. In the event that you cancel this Agreement in accordance with the terms herein and are allowed a refund, the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation will refund the remaining fees after receipt of the cancellation notice. If you do not attend the Gambling Harm Conference and did not cancel your registration but have paid your registration fee, you will not be refunded.

Please remember that cancelling your registration will not automatically cancel your hotel and travel arrangements.  Individuals are solely responsible for cancelling their own hotel and travel reservations. The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation takes no responsibility for any financial penalties you may incur. The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation takes no responsibility for any damages, costs, or losses should you cancel your registration or if the Gambling Harm Conference is cancelled.

Age limitation

All attendees must be at least 18 years of age to attend the Gambling Harm Conference, and all related events, including all evening events.

Photo identification

A government issued photo ID is required to collect the Gambling Harm Conference badges.

Photography, audio and video recording

Attendance or participation in this conference constitutes consent to the use and distribution by the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation of the attendee’s image, short video or voice for informational, publicity, promotional and/or reporting purposes in print or electronic communications media.

Video recording by participants and other attendees during any portion of the conference is not allowed without special prior written permission.

Photographs of copyrighted PowerPoint or other slides are for personal use only and are not to be reproduced or distributed. Do not photograph or video record any such images that are labelled as confidential and/or proprietary.

Admittance

In its sole discretion and without refund, the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation reserves the right to refuse admittance to or expel from the Gambling Harm Conference anyone that it determines is behaving in a manner that could be disruptive to the Gambling Harm Conference or any other attendee.

The views expressed by any Gambling Harm Conference attendee or speaker are not necessarily those of the Gambling Harm Conference or the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation.  All Gambling Harm Conference attendees, and speakers are solely responsible for the content of any and all individual or organisation presentations, marketing collateral, advertising and online web content.

Force majeure

The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure in performance of its obligations hereunder to the extent such delay or failure is caused by fire, flood, strike, civil, governmental or military authority, acts of God, acts of terrorism, acts of war, epidemics, the availability of the Venue or other similar causes beyond its reasonable control.  For one or more of such reasons, the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation may postpone, reschedule or cancel the event without liability.  In the event the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation cannot be held or is postponed pursuant to this section, the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation shall not be liable to attendee for any damages, costs, or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodations costs, or financial losses.  The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation will review refund and/or fee transfer requests, submitted in writing, for approval on a situational basis.

These terms and conditions

The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation reserves the right to update and change any part or all of these Registration Terms and Conditions at any time without notifying you first. If we update or change these Registration Terms and Conditions, the updated Registration Terms and Conditions will be posted on our the Gambling Harm Conference website. By registering you hereby consent to these Registration Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them.
